How easy is it to de-badge?

Thinking of doing it myself, am I mad? Are they all stuck on?

I've not done it, but have always heard it's quite easy, hair dryer to heat the glue, dental floss to pry them off, wipe off the glue.. I'm sure someone that has done it will chime in, but no, you're not mad for attempting yourself. I've also heard the newer the car, the easier it is to do.

I've always used dental floss for the stick on badges as it doesn't damage the paint.

I can't say for certain but would be 99.9% sure that all badges are simply stuck on with double sided tape rather then being screwed on.

Here's a good video on front and rear roundel replacement:
.

Here's a decent step by step guide to walk you through the procedure as well: http://www.pelicanparts.com/bmw/tech...30-Roundel.htm. I did some FIND on page searches for TRUNK and a lot of discussion occurred below in the comments section. If you are having trouble, just consult those. The replacement of the rear should be the same as long as the rear trunk mechanism isn't in the way.

A great way to remove the emblems without scratching your paint is to use dental floss or something like this using nylon strapping used for banding pallets:
