When can 2015 MY be ordered?

Just curious if anyone has heard when the 2015 MY orders will be accepted by dealers and BMW?

I would think it would be soon if SOP is the beginning of August.

Wasn't it basically when they have sold out of MY 2014 allocations which should have happened by now already.

My order was placed on Apr 22 and was supposed to be for a June production of the 2014 model year. Found out a couple of days ago that my production won't be until first week of August but will be 2015 model year. So I expect it's safe to say that any order placed from this point forward will be for 2015.

Yeah, it's going to come down to when your dealer runs out of MY2014 allocations. If your dealer still has July production slots available, he's going to want to fill those first.

The 2015 US price list was posted on here a few weeks ago, IIRC he said he got it from his local dealer. So some dealers are already taking orders.

I would assume it will be opened for dealers sometime in last week of June or first week of July as the current incentives have an exp date of June 30th.

Placed an order for the UK for 2015 MY a month ago which has been accepted by BMW. Having said that it is for production at the end of October and delivery at the end of the year!

From what I heard ordersshould start internationally by the end of July.
Deliveries should be around November.
But it may vary from region to region

My dealer in South Carolina got one vehicle allocated last Friday and I could place an order but no option pricing. The vehicle had a Nov production.

My lease is up in Nov but I'm really not sure about the new X6 - may try an x-drive 6 series to replace my 12 X6 5.0.

Production will start in August, and we should get allocation in July.

No allocation is available now.

I sent an email to my SA yesterday again about ordering a 2015 X5. As part of his response he said he went to BMW’s Centernet dealer site, and learned that October is when 2014 X5 production will stop and 2015 production will begin.

I would think he should have access to the latest and most accurate information. He has been selling BMW's for several years and the dealership is very highly rated, but this information is contrary to what I've seen elsewhere.

Does this make sense? Has anyone else who is contemplating ordering a 2015 model have similar information?

As always any input is sincerely appreciated.

Was he referring only on 2014 models? There might be few people who can order vehicles on July 31 and I guess it takes 2 months to build it at the factory and Oct was the deadline for it?

No he was definitely referring to a 2015 model.

I think I'll send him some information posted on this forum regarding 2015 MY SOP and see what he says. I think he is wrong but I don't think he would lie to me.

I know I lean a little toward the OCD side but I find this very frustrating!

I'm right there with you on the "frustrating" comment. When my order was initially placed back in April, I was clearly told my car was slotted for June production and early August delivery. Then a couple of weeks ago when I called for a status update, I'm suddenly told my production date was pushed back to August (with delivery now delayed to late Sept or Oct) but will now be a 2015 car. Indeed, what the SA actually said to me was that ALL cars slotted for June/July production were being pushed back to August - which judging from what I've read on this thread is simply not true. My suspicion is that they didn't actually have a June production allotment when they initially took my order, but lied about it so they wouldn't lose the business to someone else with a June production slot available.

It sounds like there may be some aspects of the 2015 model that are improved over 2014, and it may play out in my favor even though I have to wait. I just find it frustrating that I can't seem to get a clear, honest answer about what really happened here. And I hate being lied to.
