Rear hatch opening while parked

Has anyone experienced the problem where the trunk opens while the vehicle is parked ?

I have had it 4-5 times by now, and it is always a shock to come back to the car with the trunk open in the middle of the supermarket parking.

Now to be honest, I suspect the problem is with the M sport keyfob where the button for opening the rear sticks out and is pushed when i have the keys in my pocket. But not sure...

So if anyone has the same problem ?

Also, is there a way to disable this button (other than taking the keyfob apart ?)

I had the same problem - had to buy the leather cover for the key but that does make the key quite bulky.

I had the same problem day two of owning mine. It was the key's position in my pocket that was pressing the hatch release.

Now I either clip it to a belt loop or throw it in my bag. Problem solved.

Haven't had this issue yet...but I rarely have the key in my pocket. I've got too many keys and another fob...too bulky! I'm sure you can disable it through coding, but that would remove it altogether.

Happen to me twice in my garage, caused by accidental button pushed whilst in my pocket . Bought the leather cover and no issue since. Bulky yes, worse when you have two key FOB's. The key does slide out from the cover. I stopped the movement with a simple rubber band. Also, be careful not to strip the thread on the cover.
