Blind Spot Monitor Question

Recently got an x5 m sport. Was disappointed with the blind spot monitoring system. Won't activate unless doing 30 mph or more. I previously had an MB ML350 and it activated at 15mph. When driving in a lot of stop and go traffic, 15 mph is much more useful. Does anyone know if there is coding to change this?

I found something in the F10 forums for the coding. Perhaps if you guys look through the esys files, you may be able to find something close to it. Here's good instructions though. It's best not to go below 17mph apparently in order to avoid system errors.

http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=675135

Specific comment about a 2014 6 Series on page 2 towards the end of the page: "Coded a 2014 650i today. Found the setting here:

ICM => 3000 => C_ZSW_AKTIVIERUNGGESCHWINDIGKEIT_FUNKTION_LOW =>20kmh (default was 50)

I found the easiest way to find this was to search for the number "50" as that seems to be the default and it only had one instance under this setting. Translated, its like Rail speed or something of that sort. Seemed like a decent match and verified working by owner. "

Here's updated locations of finding it for 2014s: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...49&postcount=7

Do not set it to 10 or you will get errors.

Does anyone happen to know if the only way to get this is with the driver assistance plus pkg? For example, if I don't care to get the head up display or speed limit info, but I do order the back up camera, surround view, ACC stop and go, do I NOT get the blind spot monitoring?
