Questions about stock radio
Hi All,
Why is there no volume bar on the 1 series radio? This is the first car I've been in where when I turn the volume knob nothing happens on the display? I have the harmon kardon sound package (not sure if it changes the headunit?) Secondary question: There seems to be something wrong with the actual lcd screen, it's all distorted and hard to read in some parts of the screen. Would something like this that is unrelated to drivetrain be covered under warranty? |

If your bumper to bumper warranty is still in tact, then it will be covered. I believe its 50K miles. or 5 years.
No volume bar or anything does suck, I think all BMWs are that way. I like numbers too, so in my other car I put it at 32 for SLAYER! and 38 for mariah carey...

As for the volume bar...yea not a huge fan. This is the first BMW I've had so I that's why it's new to me...not really a major deal, but just seems like a strange thing to omit, and this is coming from someone who enjoys minimalism. |

I dont know. If its a Bumper to Bumper extended warranty then "yes" if not "no". Just take it in before the original warranty runs out.
