BMW CCA L.A. Chapter Auto Club Speedway 1 Day HPDE, Friday September 27th

$299 for A+ drivers*
$315 for CCA Members
$365 for non-CCA Members

Registration goes up to $349 for CCA members, $399 for non-CCA members after August 31st.

If you're a beginner who's never driven your ultimate driving machine to its ultimate purpose, the BMW CCA High Performance Driving Education program is as good as it gets. You get up to 3x 1/2 hour long classroom sessions that goes over the basics of high performance driving, from seating position to chassis dynamics to proper race line on a track. And an in-car instructor with you all day to teach you the fine-art of going fast in about as safe and controlled an environment for a high performance driving event as you will ever likely come across. And a track like Auto Club Speedway is the perfect place to find out what your car can do. Long straights, banked sweepers, chicanes both fast and slow, combination of turns that makes auto-crossing feel like a sunday afternoon drive.

If you have had quite a few events under your belt, but with other organizations, what better way to sharpen your skills with some right seat instruction to fine-tune your already strong fundamentals, and correct what minor flaws in your driving that will allow you to extract that last 1/10th of speed from your driving? We did a couple of informal studies, and have shown that in a high horsepower car, an in-car coach/instructor can make up anywhere between 3-5 seconds on a track like Auto Club Speedway for an intermediate to advanced driver. And that speed stays with you.

If you're an advanced driver, and haven't done BMW CCA events for a little while, our A+ program is a perfect bridge to the "next" step of high performance driving. Our ever evolving A+ curriculum means you go through various exercises intended to increase your awareness on track, expand and reset your learning curve, and allow you to ultimately take that next step as a driver if you choose. It's not a "race" school, but the principles taught in our A+ program will allow you to find that last bit of speed by yourself instead of relying on an in-car coach or instructor to maintain your learning curve.

Now, I'm not going to lie and say, hey, we're the best thing since sliced bread. There ARE plenty of options out there for lapping days. We're not it. If you're looking just to churn a few laps or if you're looking to drive solo, you're paying way too much for that. What you're paying, is a hand picked instructor in your right seat, and that's not something most of the other organizations can offer at the price point we set forth.

Lastly, if you're not a BMW CCA member, but know of a few CCA members, you can still sign-up for the CCA member price, as long as the CCA member pays for it. It's an accounting thing. Each CCA member is allowed to "invite" and pay for up to 7 non members. However, with your "non-CCA" member fee, a 1 year membership is also included.

There are no specific vehicle restrictions, any make and model sedan or coupe are welcome. Convertibles, as long as it meets the National Operations Standards as outlined here (pages 144-147 of the ops manual, pages 13-16 of the Driving Events ops manual). SUVs are accepted as long as it's a BMW X series. No trucks please.

p.s.: * Please note, A+ program REQUIRES prior A+ attendance, or instructor recommendation, with Chief Instructor approval. Your entry will be vetted against prior A+ experience. If you have no prior A+ driving experience, contact the organizer for Chief Instructor review before signing up.
