Noticed pixel issues the last two days
When I get in my car after work, the pixels on the radio face are all knarly. After a while, it returns to normal. Anyone else have this issue?

Its kind of normal when the interior of the car is really hot. Parked in the summer time. Nothing a new rebuilt $1K radio won't fix. Is your car still under any kind of warranty?

Got this in my vert which has about 100,000kms. I believe it's a common occurrence that happens due to the heat.
There's not much you can do about it except change the unit over. I couldn't be arsed spending over $1k just to fix the screen so I live with it. It works completely fine otherwise.

I had this happen on the dial face (under the speedometer) on my X5 after I had parked in the baking sun with temps over 40 deg C. Luckily fixed itself and has not happened since.

I had some funny LCD display issues on my HVAC control screen. Dealer replaced it after i showed them a picture of the pixels, even though at that exact moment the problem wasnt there. Even got the updated look control face

Thanks all....
Unseasonably hot weather those two days. Matches with your comments. Out of OEM warranty but I do have an aftermarket warranty that came with the car. I used it to replace my waterpump, so I know the warranty works .
I will probably keep an eye on it and will definitely place a claim before warranty expires. Al |

I had mine replaced by the dealer just before the warranty ran out. Does anyone know if the problem is actually corrected in replacement units, or is it only a matter of time before the new one does the same thing?
