Hi All,
I'm proud to be a new 2008 SG 335i Sedan owner (sport package). I traded in my '09 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart (evo x turbo swapped) in for the car before mine blew up (it seems its a growing trend in the mitsu world.) I'm probably not going to go too crazy with mods, probably just rims, cobb ap (stage 2 at most & supporting mods) and some minor exterior mods (blacked out kidney grill etc). Any tips for a BMW newbie will always be appreciated. Anyways, if you wanna see my old car visit here: http://www.evoxforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47675 And last but not least a photo of my new baby. |

Typical BMW knowledge: Front control arm bushings will go bad around 100k, window regulators, sensors will go bad. Nothing bad, just know that you will have new things needed to be replaced periodically. The rest of the car will be strong, but tiny things will occasionally fail. It's a love/hate relationship, you'll see what I'm talking about with time .

Thanks for the advice and pix so far guys. The smoked corners definitely look like a must. My buddy weebles also came over from the evo world... He had a 430whp fp green evo and went to a 08 135i and got a cobb ap shortly after. Now he wants to go jb4 so ill be snatching up his cobb since im not gonna go too wild with mods.

I ran Rota Grid (knock off volk) on my RA. Not because I couldn't afford it but due to the fact I would cry if i effed up a set of volks. I really like Work rims and will have to have a peek at their selection.
Thanks for the comments on the RA.. it was an Evo Killer. 350 whp and 375 wtq. Definitely a sleeper due to it not being an Evo but having 100 whp more than a stock evo. |
