Anyone Cross-Shop with Mercedes C-Class?

Priced in the same ballpark as an optioned 1er, did anyone drive a C Class prior to their 1 purchase? In my view, they look pretty good, but the only review I read said they weren't as much a driver's car compared to BMW's offerings. Never considered it myself.

How about 2 vs 4 doors and almost a third more in size.

C goes up against the 3 & A4, and it's definitely competitive in the class, albeit with different strengths than BMW's. You have to drive it to find out if it's for you.
