Eibach W/ e36 bumpstop help

When using the e36 bumpstop, do I just place it above the black protection tube or try and sqeeze it through the hole and attach it like how it was with the oem bumpstop?

The dust boot should fit right on the bump stop, if that is what you are asking.

thanks. i realized this when I pulled off the second bump stop. The first one that I pulled off had the black ring stuck inside the boot so i didn't know how i could fit the new bump stop in there.
