Should I give it garage space?
The fact that this is one BMW which absolutely refuses to go back in the box until it has been played with makes it a captivating prospect. To refer to it as a shot in M Division’s arm would be severely understating the exceptional quality of its other offerings, but the M Coupe feels like a car crafted with genuine enthusiasm rather than one simply to built to rival the competition.

Consequently the 1 Series doesn’t drive like it’s had all its rougher edges polished off. Suave flair has been substituted with a rollicking kind of hustle that requires manhandling and positively delights in mistreatment. It’s a brand of fun which ought to come with a built-in limiter, and in a way, it does. BMW will only sell 450 M Coupes in the UK. Start queuing now.
