Press Launch in CA @ Willow Springs
I just completed 5 laps at willow springs, ca. What an awesome car! Very predictable.You his are going to love this car. It is at home at the racetrack!

1 Series Lapping
I spent the day with the admin of Bimmerpost....Jason. WOW!! What a guy! Fortunately, we had many laps in both the M3s and the 1 Series M to do some back-to-back comparisons. I will refrain from sharing my excitement about the cars and let the editor do his wizardry with his pen. I can tell you that this guy knows how to drive! I have been road racing since 1981 and have driven many road courses. There is a reason they call Willow Springs, The fastest road in the West!" It is a very intimidating track with some super fast sweeping corners but Jason did awesome! I think he will bring our enthusiasm in another post...so you guys must wait. For those of you on the list for a new 1 Series M....you are very lucky!!! Get ready for a fun and very fast car!

Hmmm, I saw this car today at a traffic light in Valencia, CA around 9am The guy driving had one of those black polo shirts that are usually worn by ///M product people.
From Valencia to Willow Springs you can take the canyons which is a nice drive, specially if you do it in a "spirited" way... We were both first at a traffic light and he took of at full force, spinning the tires after shifting into second. I didn't even bother since I was wondering what a 1M with NY plates was doing here. It's the same car I saw Saturday at Bimmerfest.... would had been nice to follow him through the canyons. I should have asked him to do a photo shot with my original Sport Evo E30 M3, that would have been nice...

yes...it could have been some of the press (including Jason) departing their hotel on their spirited drive to Willow Springs. We have done no lap timing...so, I have no idea our times.

Don't even think about lifting in the middle of the turn because you're going to end where you don't want to be !!! Turns 3,4 and 5 going up and down the hill are very fun too... Any activities there tomorrow Thursday ?? would love to drive the 1M there and compare to all the other Ms I've driven there. Note to self, start writing, become part of the press and get involved...
