selling before delivery

hi,

yesterday, for the third time I've been asked if I wouldn't want to sell my NOT YET DELIVERED 1Mcoupé

HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU BEEN ASKED TO SELL YOUR 1M???????

I expect that when mine arrives i will get many asks but simply wont be selling it without adding at least a 30% premium!! I figure i can wait another 6 months for that chunk.... mind you are all the reveiws, i probably wont be able to part with it!! LOL

and it's sad because I've had deposit since nov 2010 and #1 at my dealer and still no allocation til October , but I did receive my special print yesterday from m/power.com

That's nice lets be upset when a dealer wants to ask more than msrp but we can be happy to make 30% more than what we gave.Just saying you may or may not be one who thinks it's right or wrong but I just wanted to rant a little. Excuse me.

How can you sell what isn't yours yet? I'd be very surprised if any dealer would allow an order contract to be transferrable.

Some of the cars listed for sale on autotrader and cars.com have been confirmed as cars that have been ordered. Dealers often automatically put their inventory online.

There is a BSM and a AW 1m listed, near me but they are both owned by forum members.

As for the guy looking for a 30% premium, good luck. It's a hot car, but no one in their right mind would pay that.

US is different from Europe, we don't have dealers selling over list price,
and only in the UK you really have a market for "new models" selling over list price (by owners)

I know someone on the forums who was one of the first ones to receive his 1M and he told me that he had someone offer 10k for his spot/ to take delivery of his car. He rejected it. The guy offering the 10k found someone already though.
