Which Wheel Spacers?

I have BMW 313 18" wheels (same widths as stock) with 225/255 tires. I was thinking about getting 2 sets of wheel spaces (front and rear) and was wondering how wide I can get away with before rubbing?

Car is on stock suspension but may go with the BMW performance suspension down the road.

I would like to know the answer too. But I have the OE M-pak wheels with the same 225/255 rubber.

I was thinking of getting 12mm for up front and 5mm for the rear tires. Any thoughts?

Burger Tuning shows a 1st with 15mm front and 12mm rear I think. I'd love to push the wheels out as much as possible.

Ummm that was helpful.

I like the look of the wheels and I'd like to have a little higher offset. But I don't the actual BMW wheels are the "wrong" offset.

I converted to studs and went with Macht Schnell comp wheel spacer kit. 18mm front, 10mm rear. Puts all 4 tires right at the fender edge with no interference.

The wider spacers go on the back? With the BMS spacers they suggest 10-12mm front and 12-15mm rears.

Just want to confirm before I order anything.

Thanks

I have always seen people here put the thicker wheel spacer on the front.

Usually I have seen 10mm to 15mm's in the front while 5mm to 12mm's in the rear.

I still do not know what size is optimum with 225/255's and OE M-pak wheels. ???

It depends on the offset of your wheel. The ones on my sig are +38 and in the rear with a 5mm offset, I rubbed. And I had my fenders rolled. I'm also running the stock tire size.

Subscribed. I've got 12mm and 15mm spacers on the way. Originally thinking that would be 12mm front and 15mm rear, but maybe it'll go best the other way around. I'm all stock 2011 135i with M Sport package, but considering wider tires (225 front, 255 rear) and / or BMW Performance Suspension in the future.

Look forward to see other responses or results.

Cheers,
Bryan

Running 264's with stock rubber and 12mm in front and 12mm in back.

I'm dropped on coil overs.

Front could actually have gone with 15mm in the front. Plenty of clearance with the 12mm.

Rear- 12 mm is max. On the most extreme bumps I will get the rears to rub. They just catch the the inside of the lip. I'm not rolled and have max camber set on the back wheels.

12mm up front and 15mm out back from Schnell, back rubbed so I had the fenders rolled.

I just installed my BMS spacers - 15mm in the front and 12mm in the rear. After a slow test drive (including a trip to the car wash), it doesn't look like there's going to be any rubbing.

Cheers,
Bryan

Here are a few pictures of my stock 135i with M Sport Package after installing BMS spacers - 15mm front and 12mm rear. I took her for a walk after installing the spacers last weekend and there were no signs of rubbing. I think the front is as wide as I could go stock, and while there might be some room for the rear to be bigger, I'm not sure it wouldn't rub even moving just up to 15mm.

Hope this helps!

Cheers,
Bryan

I've just got and installed a pair of 12mm spacers from BMS and test fit both front and back and still deciding what will work best and 12mm looks and fits
great for front and rear. I'm currently on H&R super sport springs which I think are the most aggressive set up springs out there in term of drop. I test fitted the fronts and the look fine with space to spare but it think 12 is as far as I will go in the front. And now I'm lost on what size to go with the rears, cuz 12 look really good but still have enough room to fit 15mm and make it look super aggressive but I'm afraid it will rubbed unless I roll the rear fenders. I'm on stock rims but I have Nitto INVO tires 225f and 255r. Help...
