The bit where they say "closer to the local launch" was interesting, cause I have never heard that there was even going to be a local launch . Considering a lot of the cars will have already been spoken for and that there is, after all, only 100 why bother anyway

If that is true about the allocation, then the dealers would have oversold by about 100%..
It will be a shit fight to purchase, even thou we have deposits down..

They will sell as many as they can, I don't believe they will limit it to 100 units.

I don't understand why BMW would limit the 1m to 100 units. I can understand certain car manufacturers limiting the number of vehicles made for extremely exclusive or expensive vehicles but at the end of the day its a 1 series... They don't limit m5's why on earth would they limit a 1m.. Fkn bizarre and a stupid business decision if they really do limit them.

All that effort with development, teasers and unveiling, only to release 100 locally?
I'm sure the overseas demand would be rather sizable, but it should really be a model line-up rather than a limited edition. If it was a CSL or the like then sure...

Although the exclusivity would undoubtedly keep re-sale values nice and high

The words "resale value" and "high" make a great oxymoron IMO.

Haha ok maybe "high" only applies to the original Lexus LS400 in the mid 90's.

Let's replace that with "less painful"

Benny I couldn't agree more. BMW will move as many units as they can.
