Filter - service
Hi
How do you know if your oil filter has really been changed - not that i dont trust the dealer, but i have seen REPORTS of rorting by domestic car dealers Any ideas on where the lube filter actually is located on the N54 thanks JD |

Top of engine in front of air filter. Such a quick easy change, and not an expensive part so I would be surprised if they didn't change it if they said they did. Kind of 101 in car maintenance is changing the oil and oil filter.

There is a green mark on the oil filter cap and the housing. Once the first service is done... the mark will most likely not match up. You could note what your green marks looks like before and after - to see if the filter has been "touched",
