I've been following it on the news as well. It's bizzare how much rain we are getting. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families and those that are still missing. Let's hope this rain buggers off but apparently the worst is yet to come tomorrow afternoon!

We've just been told to put all our valuables on our desks and go home, where that's possible

It is just starting to pour here again - though the tide is retreating - so hopefully it stayed that way. We had water 5 metres away from my shop this morning. The road around us are closed...

hopefully I can get home from the office, most of the western suburbs roads are closed down I think and that massive garden place next to west side BMW have sent an email out saying they have stopped trading until probably Thursday.

Got woken up way too early this morning and greeted by a panic stricken employee with the power is out and the roads are about to flood. Had to close the surgery today unfortunately and looks like possibly tomorrow as well.

I live on the top of a hill in Sunshine Coast hinterland and had to deal with water at home yesterday and today in places I have never seen before. Went down to office in maroochydore and it's a lucky dip as to what roads will be open, luckily my other car is a Prado, the bmw would disappear in some of the potholes near home.
We were driving around those roads in Toowoomba only 10 days ago, hard to comprehend the damage and potential loss of life. I have nothing to complain about, family is safe and secure. Stay safe everyone and all the best for the next few days.

Biggest concern is supplies at the moment... highway's cut at Caboolture and Gympie. Brisbane's in a panic at the moment and looks like we are not getting any delivery, anytime soon - I will be starting to run out of meds in a couple of days time and Brisbane is expecting to be worst on Thursday.

That's for sure Sparoz, sorry to hear about you running low on stock. As an accountant, I don't have to worry too much about supplies like you. We did shut the office today at lunch and sent everyone home.
On the home front, I was handed a list of veges and other bits and pieces to stock up on yesterday, just never now what will happen when supply lines are cut, the Prado has nearly 180 ltrs of diesel in it also.

Just a last note for the Brisbane guys before the power shut down at 7am. Stay safe guys, and hope everyone and family come out of Thursday unscathed.

There is a power shutdown? We were quite busy today since everyone was out getting groceries... no problems to report on except a leaky roof...
