Car colours - how do we compare
http://brisbanetimes.drive.com.au/mo...202-18hp3.html
From the article - "The 57th DuPont Global Automotive Colour Popularity Report, released last December, shows a similar trend worldwide; silver, black and white are the top three car colours. In the Asia-Pacific region, silver and charcoal led the popularity stakes with 33 per cent, followed by white with 21 per cent, black 19 per cent, red 10 per cent, blue 8 per cent, naturals 6 per cent, niche colours 4 per cent and green 2 per cent." Go ahead and vote. To try and keep this poll reflective of the region, kindly refrain from voting (that means "don't") if you're not currently livining in the Asia-Pacific region. Go to Malaysia, Singapore, and around that area and you'll be astounded by the number of black cars up there in those hot environs. I reckon almost half would be black.

I don't think the heat bothers Malaysians. I've seen lots of people there wearing nylon long sleeve shirts, long pants, nylon head scarves and even jumpers and thick winter jackets in 30+ heat and 100% humidity.

Why did you put Sliver and Grey as one option? From the attendance for 1Addicts meets, I'm willing to bet there is a very big proportion of cars that are EITHER TiAg or SGM. I think they need to be split into two options.

Colour is an interesting thing in cars. For many people it is simply not that important as long as they get the other stuff they want. For me, it was a deal breaker when I was trying to buy my 1er...took me 2 weeks of fighting with them to get what I wanted. But I'm glad I did...love my little red beast!

Silver/ grey are combined to match the poll in article, Jeef. Not sure who hayesy is but I'd be interested to know what color his/her 1er is.

I agree Jeef, TiAg and Space Grey need their own categories.
We have TiAg, and sometimes I look at it and think bugger should have got AW/SG/Black (depending on my mood that day), but then you see your car at a certain angle in a certain light and you fall in love all over again and think HOT HOT HOT. So you need a new mattress eh? I've been driving a lot since Typhoon lost his licence. The car really goes :-) (never noticed while I was on a 'you can look but can't touch' basis). |
