Yep, I got this as a present too! It is quite good and heaps of fun, but you will want more for sure. You can also pay to have a photo with a car, or to have your session on video tape. The video makes for hilarious watching later on. The car didn't feel as fast as I thought it would though. Not saying it was slow, but I was expecting a bit more ooopmh.

I used to work for one of the firms that sponsor a car. Got a 10 lap track session. What a hoot, but quite exhausting. A few thoughts:
1) If you get the chance, do it! 2) I dont think the cars are V8SC, but they are stripped out (noisy) track specials 3) The hold - on gearbox is an easier drive than the Fraud. 4) You get a DVD at the end which is incredibly un flattering - lol 5) I could only manage 195kmh on the front straight - I'm a useless driver and the instructers dont let you push the car in the previous bend due to the Marketing Manager of my previous company giving the wall a liverpool kiss! Its worth noting that when I went round in the M3 a couple of months ago I did 215 on front straight. The M was much easier, less tiring and faster! FWIW |

Like banglemanle said, the car is not full on V8 Supercar. But it is more stripped out than just an SS/XR8 and fairly hardcore. Certainly not a street car. Slick tyres, exhaust, no interior, uprated brakes etc.. IIRC some running double front calipers.
