LUX H8 recall upgrade rating/review

Here is my review 1-10 (10 is highest):

Vendor: 9 (NAMOTORSPORTS did a great job in getting my kit back to me in the 2 weeks as promised.)

Quality: 9 (The product itself looks like quality but the splicing sort of looks butchered even though it is actually very secure. The breaks in the wires don't look good but that is not what people see anyways.)

Fitment: 10 (Replacement bulbs went in the first time with no hassles.)

Difficulty of installation: 2 (Meaning the only reason you wouldn't be able to DIY is if you have huge fingers and can't get around in the light housing.)

Overall satisfaction: 9. Other than the cut/spliced wires due to the recall modification, these seem to work like a charm.

Here are some pics of what the "RECALL" upgrade is for the kit.

Here are the before and after shots.

Update......

My lights flicker on start up. I know its doing a light check but this shouldn't be happening correct?

Anyone else have this problem with the post-recall LUX H8 kit? What do I do to resolve it?

Flickering is normal, it always has been. try putting your headlight switch to auto instead

Here is how I mounted mine. The power supply and fuse fit pretty securely.

^^ Pretty much like the pics above. There is really no issue because it all fits nicely. If there was no room and they had to hang somewhere then I'd be concerned but this is not the case. I'm happy with the upgrade.

It was a little tough to see the wiring picture. I really want this upgrade, but I'm worried that the install of the wiring will make it look "hacked" together. I remember the days when I was 18 and wiring up my stereo and I'd have random wires running through the engine bay. I want to avoid this at all costs. Are you able to manage a "clean" install?

You can tuck almost all the wiring inside the housing. Not sure how "clean" you are looking for, but the length of wire coming out of the housing in minimal.
