customers for JL-Motoring. please help..

i've heard really good stories about JL-Motoring.

i'm going to order front and rear lips for my 2010 M3 E92, but i would like to know the opinions of M3post netizens.

I'm just scared of the "fitment" b/c i've read some threads about "fitment" not being perfect (NOT JL-MOTORING PRODUCTS!!)

so... if you guys used front lip or rear diffuser products from JL, please help me.
every vote will be appreciated.

Thanks!!!!

I have a front lip from them. I ordered it shortly after they started selling them. Quality, fitment, etc. MAY have changed since then.............please keep that in mind. My experience is based on the product when it first hit the streets (basically).

That being said, the first lip I received had a large blemish (manufacturing issue). After some back and forth, I sent it back and got a replacement. The replacement lip fit reasonably well. However, after a few months, I could see small bubbling in the clearcoat. This was not there when it was new. The bubbling is hard to notice. You will not see it unless you get up pretty close (washing the car).

That being said, for the money, its a good product. It seems fairly stong and looks good still. Being that is it less than half the price of many competators, its a bargain.

The way I figure, the front lip is going to get hammered....parking blocks, driveways/ramps, rocks, etc. Its a "wear item" that will need to be replaced every so often. Thus, who cares if it has a few small bubbles here and there.....right? I will probably be tossing it this year and ordering a new one.

If I had a showcar, I would opt for a different brand....but I drive my car. There is no use buying a lip for 3X as much and having it get all ripped up from normal driving!

So, the big question............will I get a new one from JL Motoring when I am ready to replace this one???

Yes.

I have the Hamann replica front lip from them... bolts up easy.. and seems to fit fine except it's cosmetically too short by about 1/2" on one side.. It would probably bother some people but it does not bother me as the lip takes a daily beating on the roads and was already ripped off once... so for the price it's no worry..

How's the fitment on their 3D Design rep?!? Not only do I like this design the best, I like the fact that it has 2 splitters so if I scrape anything, the splitters will only get damaged (unless I hit something real hard). Thus, all I have to buy are replacements for the splitters instead of a whole new lip.

Smile JL Motoring stands behind their products

I recently exchanged one rear diffuser for another and had no problems. James at JL Motoring was a pleasure to deal with. Their products are near perfect in finish and fit. I will definitely purchase their products again.
