Competition Package parts...

Anyone know of a way to get the new competition package parts? (The front splitter and rear spoiler) Also, can they be fitted to a 2010 E93 M3? And one last thing, how much are they?

The only reason why I would get them is really for the looks, so I don't plan on spending a lot on them. What do you guys think?

I know this is probably a stupid question, but the OEM parts from that site are original BMW parts right?

I know I'm being nitpicky here, but the parts that you mention don't have anything to do with the Competition package. They're offered by BMW Performance for various M3s (splitters) and E92s (spoiler). And yes, you can get them from getbmwparts.com aka Tischer. They're an excellent vendor that sell OEM BMW parts for under MSRP, and they have a great reputation on these forums.

I wonder if anyone has actually ordered his new car w/ these parts installed by the VPC/dealer? Is it cheaper / more expensive than getting them from Tischer?

What parts? LOL

The CF lip/mirrors/etc?

I'm sure it depends on the dealer and the price you get from Tischer.

Again, the Comp. Package has no "parts" aside from the OEM by BBS 19" wheels.

I read on the BMW website that the splitters and the spoiler are an option for the new competition package. They did not mention the fact that you could have them fitted without opting for the competition package.

Anyway, has anyone actually fitted these parts (splitters and spoiler) on a 2008-10 E92/E93 M3 before? What are the procedures for attaching them to the bumper (splitters) and the trunklid (spoiler)? Sorry if I'm being a noob but I don't want to ruin my car as a result of inexperience. In any case, I have my flame suit on lol

You read wrong, or most likely, didn't read at all.

You can add those in ADDITION to the Comp. Package. They are extra.

Any reputable body shop or the dealer themselves should be able to install the lip and spoiler.

Again, the COMPETITION PACKAGE has not body modifications/additions whatsoever aside from the 19" wheels. That's it.

I appreciate your comments, kaykay. And the information that you've given me are very useful. But perhaps you did not read my post carefully enough because you've just stated what I've stated in my previous post.

This is what I said, "the splitters and the spoiler are an option for the new competition package."

And this is what you said

I mean no disrespect at all. Just trying to point out that I have done a bit of research and I am not a total idiot.

Yes I was referring to the splitters and spoiler. Of course I know they were not part of ZCP. I already took ED of my M3 w/ ZCP and it's on the way back. I was just wondering if anyone has actually asked the dealer about putting these on their new M3s. Do they do it at the dealership or at the VDC? and the cost.

Wow - you really are a bit of a pillock aren't you?

Determined to show how superior you are.

I knew, just like most other people did, what the OP was asking.

It is not so difficult to be helpful is it?

Hey Tony B, why don't you go have some tea and crumpets and not worry about what other people do or write not to mention start throwing around your childish British insults at other members.

I answered the OP's original question and cleared up his confusion.

Dealer can certainly do it for you. The splitters are around $300 each and the spoiler is about $400.
