St Ives to Patonga Drive Day?

Hi guys,

Since we can't really make a 'day' out of an Akuna Bay run, nor have some nice road on the Northern Beaches to enjoy the 1ers in a group, I just wanted to see who would be interested in a St Ives to Patonga drive day?

The route itself from St Ives would be around 1.5 hours to get to Patonga, via old Pacific Hwy.

The plan would be to meet at say 10am in St. Ives, get to Patonga for lunch (beautiful spot), and drive back in the afternoon.

St Ives gives a good location for our other friends around Sydney to meet up with us and come along.

Just wanted to see if there's any interest. If so, i'll get to organising.

Meet Date: Sunday, 8 November 2009
Meet Time: 10am
Meet Place: St Ives Showground, Mona Vale Road

Route: Telegraph Road, Pacific Highway, Old Pacific Highway, and down into Patonga.

Destination: Patonga Beach
Destination ETA: 12:30pm
Destination Activity: Getting shitfaced. Kidding.. There's a fantastic Fish & Chips shop there!

Destination Departure: Whenever we're ready.

1er suspension is not compatible with bumpy roads around Akuna bay anyway.

I'm interested in a run up the old Pac dependent on the date.
