They didn't drop them. The rates there mentioned they are on until June 30.

They had an additional 1000$ credit in May let's hope it sticks around in June too.

Just talked to my SA and he said for June there is an additional $1000 cash back incentive on top of the $2500 offered in May.

Here's hoping when I take delivery in July/August it will be an additional $1000 or $2000 by then..... LOL

I just confirmed with SA, and it is only for 135i not 128i.
I guess that makes sense, because 135 would have higher margin.

Was this for Quebec/Montreal area dealers only? They are the ones listed in the poster, and no SA I spoke with in the Toronto area mentioned any kind of $1000 credit on top of the $2500 cash incentive.

What do you guys mean by $2500 cash incentive? Do you mean they'll take off $2500 from mrsp of the car?

If you pay cash (i.e. buy the car upfront, no lease or financing)

So is it confirmed that the $2500 is still being offered in June?

If you don't mind me asking, did you get anything of the MSRP outside of the 3500? What dealer did you buy from?

Yeah I managed to get a few percents off on top of the $3500 cash rebate (given paid by cash - not through BMW finance) Mind you I am not a good negotiator so you might be able to get a better deal ... I bought from BMW Autohaus...

PM me if you need any more details....

I got in just in time for the 2.9% lease rates in May.

It worked out alright saving a few k. I have a good friend (dealer friend) at BMW Toronto that will always be there.

Thanks man. Another thing I learned tonight that I didn't know is that the incentive only applies to vehicles actually delivered this month. I thought I could buy one for a July/August delivery and get the 3500 right now.

Are you sure? I never heard of that condition and it doesn't make sense since I have been quoted on a car with a set of options that would have made it otherwise impossible to find simply sitting on a dealer's lot (it would have to be custom built). That would mean that the incentive would only be good for vehicles that are already in country.

Also when you sign an agreement to purchase the car are you not entering into a legal contract? It should state the total amount you will have to pay upon delivery. The incentive should be a fixed part of that amount (on one quote I received it isn't even mentioned as ALTERNATE DELIVERY credit, it is just marked as part of the discount). Who in their right mind enters into a cash deal where the final price is subject to change? That I would agree to pay for a car to be delivered in two-three months and then suddenly the possibility that I might have to pay an extra $3500 on top of that because the incentive expired while the car was in transit does not compute, unless the dealer would never sign off on a contract like this knowing the delivery date would be outside the month. Otherwise its a gamble. I am having a hard time reconciling what you are saying but I will find out for certain this weekend when I visit one of T.O.'s dealers.

Thats so funny because that's EXACTLY what I thought too. When I spoke to a guy from Toronto BMW last night, thats what he told me. I had already purchased a Car Cost Canada report and this is what it said:

Alternate Cash Back/Factory to Dealer Rebate $3,500.00 July 1, 2009 *

*The Alternate Cash Back/Factory to Dealer Rebate program applies to deliveries between June 2, 2009 and July 1, 2009. This program is only available with cash purchases and is applied to the before tax amount. Please consult your dealer for further details.

I totally agree with you. I'm at a little bit of a disadvantage because I've bought new cars before, but never ordered one from the factory so I can't exactly speak from my own experience. Like you said, how can you put together a deal without even knowing what the car is going to cost?

Let me know what you find out...I would really be interested.

I don't know for you guys but it was always made clear to me that some of these incentives are tied to the delivery date. For example in May there was a 1000$ rebate applied to the preparation fees that I would have got if my car got here sooner.

Purchased my 135 cab in May and they indicated July delivery. My contract states I get the $2500 cash back incentive. However, in case the incentive changes in my favour then it will apply (ex. I will get the additional $1000 for June). If for some reason BMW decided to cancel any incentives for June I would still be entitled to the $2500 cash back.

Thats what my SA told me.... so I suggest anyone interested to talk to your SA for details.

Yep, my guy is confirming that I will get the incentive for the month I get my car delivered.

So jealous of your deal.
