Poll: Will you renew Sirius satellite radio when it expires?
They want $12.95/mo or $142.45/yr. I don't use it that often and the sound quality isn't very good anyway. I probably won't renew.
How about everyone else?

Yea, I thought the same thing about collision insurance. I have three cars but only drive one at a time and no other drivers.

+1 to both posts. Insurance is a scam in that regard, and so is satellite radio. My wife got a free 3 months when she bought her VW, and loved it... but it was only usable in that car (though I had a receiver and an account for about two years prior).
It should definitely be transferrable, with only one user allowable on at a time. |

I'm disappointed with the quality of music and downgrade of stations in the last few years. Sirius was great about 2 years ago, but it's all downhill. I have it for Howard, that's it.

Yes, I have renewed my subscriptions to Sirrus on all my BMWs. $12.95 for the first vehicle, then $6.99 for each additional vehicle. I think the $6.99 rate will be increased soon to $8.99.
I also have XM in three other vehicles and the rates are the same. I just wish those accounts would be combined so I wouldn't have to pay a basic rate twice. I love both services and have not noticed a change in the quality of service since the very beginning of use starting in 2005. I love talk radio and sports so that's most of what I listen to. As for music, nope...use the USB drive. It's expensive...over $62 per month! Call

I'm an avid Sirius listener, I have it at the office & in my current car. On my next car I won't be getting Sirius because the cost of the equipment (in this case $595) is too steep.
That being said, I plan to use the Sirius Stilleto in the car, does anyone know if you can access saved music in the same manner as the Ipod..fully synced through the USB? |

Since the merge the quality of music has gone down a lot, my favorite stations have been changed and I have lost one. I only listen to BPM, Area, Octane, and the occasional classical/opera channels. The actual bitrate of the music is horrible, the sound quality really sucks. I tend to just listen to find new songs I like then I will buy a high quality copy and just listen to it through my iPod because I can't stand the sound quality.

renewal
I understand the comments posted but I renewed anyway.. Well, at least for 3 more months.. I guess I can't justify having gotten the option and not using it. Yes, the quality isn't great but I listen for sports and its nice to listen to certain types of music that you don't have whenever you want. The comedy stations are also entertaining.. When I just got the car I would sit in the car and be entertained for hours.. Waiting for people wasn't painful anymore.. At 12.95 it doesn't seem like a good deal.. I guess I will reasses when my new time period is up. Those who haven't ordered sat. radio should read this thread!!
