Glorious 1 Series on Glorious car-free DVP today
A rarity, a virtually traffic-free DVP during rush hour this morning, blazing up to my sister's with my purring 128, tracking a 5 Series, with all the twists and bends of a racetrack.
What a pleasure, what a car. Amazing. Happy Easter all you Jesus freaks! |

I'm so jealous!
I thought I had an empty highway this morning only to come to a grinding halt as somebody decided that the center median was an appropriate place to park their truck on it's roof. In the end it took 2 hrs for a 30 mins journey I think I'll have to stop driving my 1 as it seems a little bit cursed lately. . |

If you don't want to spend the money don't drive the 135i, for me thats the whole reason to get this car...just drive the 128i and if you like it buy it, if you drive the 135 you'll always feel like your missing something...at least thats my take!

Lucky bastard! I spent all morning changing tires on the 1 and the Miata and it was 11 by the time I got onto the DVP. By then everyone was getting out of church and the revenuers had their speed traps up all over East York and Leaside. *sigh* Maybe tomorrow morning. ;-)

135i was fast but the sport wheel was waaaay too thick for me, had to feather the throttle but even when I punched it it didn't seem as fast as the hype on this forum. Maybe there were too many cars on the road in my way for me to really let it unload? Even further validating your argument supra... |
