DVD and Books from BMW

Any one else recieve this welcome to BMW info pack in the mail? Has a DVD, CD's, ect...Came in the mail today. Maybe this is the replacement for our 1 books being in the bottom of the ocean? haha

The DVD is pretty cool. It's got a bunch of videos, many of them are or have been on bmwusa.com. The one on BMW Test Drivers was interesting. I did not know that BMW has ~120 test drivers, that they all must go through training and certification to reach certain levels, and that only the top drivers (~12) get to drive on the 'Ring.

There's a collection of 4 CDs containing various talks/interviews from various TED conferences from the last few years.

Finally, a couple of booklets intended to remind you what a great car you bought, and how awesome you are for buying it.

Those welcome kits have come a long way. When I got my first BMW, the welcome kit was nothing more than a VHS tape. They have gotten increasingly better over the years.

I also received the "boxed set" called "The Ultimate Driving Machine," which is pretty slick, as far as it goes.

But what I really wanted was a coffee-table book about my car and no one else's. Where's that?

Bump, I think it's about time we start calling BMW North America and find out where our coffee table 1 books are.

I was hoping it was the 1 book, but it looked too small for that.

The cd's look a bit weak. We used to get some decent jazz CDs with new BMWs. Not any more.
