idrive 09 - EU maps
Howdy
Does anyone know where to get the Europe maps for new 09 iDrive (without paying the dealer 4 wheels and a twin turbo) :smile: thanks for any info - as I remember someone posting maps for the previous version on the forum.

Mine came already loaded with maps for the whole of Europe. You shouldn't need to get new ones.

Get on Google and find a US military BMW representative. Search "BMW Military Sales" and you can probably find an American expatriate, or a Scottish/English guy. They may be cool enough to hook you up but a warning; when you program the EU maps, you lose the NA maps; not enough space for them both, AFAIK. BTW, you can buy the maps for $200... I saw them for sale on a BMW tuner website somewhere, not sure where though.

wonder if stored a flash drive, I can keep the USA and 'choose' to run off flash USB from glove box...
humm.... think think think... i guess if i load EU maps - loose USA, I'll have to pay to get the USA installed again.. boo if that indeed is the case...

yes, but Euler said they are loaded on my system. They are waiting for BMW to release the code to unlock - some sort of license snafu.

In regards to your Europe maps...just talked to my dealer at Pentagon Sales and am getting the maps installed next week. You should contact the dealer you purchased the car from and have them talk to Pentagon Car Sales in Kaiserslatern (Ramstein) and they can figure it out for you.
