Subwoofer Upgrade in progress...

Hello all,
This week I received my new 128i and while I have found the premium audio system very good, it still lacks that last little bit of low bass. As I often have found in good car audio systems, it sounds very good and all its really missing is that low end.

So as with my other cars in the passed, I start my research. I will be posting my findings as they come.

My first test will be a simple sub in the trunk to see if the insulation will be an issue…

So, where the heck in the power amplifier for the system? I have been digging around and while I have learned a lot about the car, I have not found it

Also, doses anyone have the schematics to the audio system? More particularly the color codes for the wires.

Also of note, the crossovers are reportedly in the doors. Haven't seen anyone post pics.

Even funnier.... The Amp is not at that location on my car. It was the first place I looked.

Suggestions?

Hmmm didnt know the 135i and 128i amp placment was different...im afraid to take apart my 128i because i would either break something our couldnt get it back together properly...if i was mechanically inclined id go look for it
