Playlist won't work :(
I'm using Foola to manage my ipod, I've created a few playlists which work fine on the IPOD and show up in Foola, but when I select USB and then select LIST on the BMW Pro head unit, it says empty...
Any ideas? |

You've got the iPod set up as a USB drive, and it won't see playlists like that, only folders. When it sees it as an iPod, the button says iPod, not USB.

You need the official iPod cable from BMW, with the USB and 1/8th Jack on the end, plug both into the Car, then iPod should show up on the HU.
You can also copy music directly to the iPod from the PC, and use it like a storage device, in which case the USB setting will show you the songs listed by folder, but the iPod can not then play those songs.

Well apparently, .m3u playlists created by Winamp do work. Can you see your songs at all right now? If you can are they sorted into folders etc?

i've just sorted all my music into Genre, and set the Genre to be the Artist letter
Ie: All Bob Dylan genre is B , so that means I can sort them faster using Genre I'm going to create a M3U file in Winamp and give it a go... |

You need the cable. My car came without the cable either. So when I asked the dealer, he just opened some 3ser, took a cable off and gave it to me. Playlists started working after.

Strange...
I have the .m3u file working in my 135 without a cable. I have a USB flash drive and put the playlist in the root directory. I still not able to do Chinese in .m3u. Let me start another thread.
