Just ordered a stripper 135i
I have just ordered a 135ci, crimson red, 6 speed, taupe interior with aluminum trim and sport package only. I've got a $1800 off from the MSRP plus a $450 doc fee. Hopefully, I will have the car early August.

By stripper do you mean you intend to gut the car and turn it into a track bitch or just that you didn't get any of that extraneous crap BMW tries to sell at exorbitant rates?

Congrats. Smart thinking getting it cheap with just the sport pkg. In a test against the EVOX, STI, R32 VW the 135i was said to be too soft. Maybe coilovers, 1 inch lower and larger F&R sway bars would be the way to go. $1800 off MSRP for a stripped 135i is a great deal IMO.

I did the exact same thing. 135i SGM Coral Red w/Aluminum trim and only added sport package. I have been driving it every day for three weeks and don't miss any of the options that would have blown the price up.

To me, sport package will put a smile on my face every timt that I drive it; and I can absolutely live without leather, power seats, premium hi-fi, comfort access and things don't make my car perform better in terms of handling and acceleration. Please don't get me wrong, those are nice options but I got a limited budget. Another $5k means a lot to me.

Sport package is THE option to get if I could only get one. The motorsport wheel and shift knob alone are worth it, and the shadowline trim is nice too.
Close second would be the I-pod/USB port...I could actually see that comming in real handy on a road trip. |

Isn't there some sort of built in Ipod interface with the base unit? I could have sworn I read somewhere it's in the center armrest.
Add me to the guys who wanted the power without the luxury. Sport pkg, park distance (because that is a technology that'll pay for itself), not much else I can think of. Also the Sport package entitles you to sport bucket seats, not power seats. I believe power is a premium package item. FWIW.

I was thinking the same thing ... It seems from a lot of discussion on this forum and also personal experience at dealerships its been really hard to get them to budge off MSRP casue of the high demand for the car... How did you manage it ? Good job though ... |

the "ci" designation for coupe and "cic" for vert have been dropped, everything is just "i" now...
When I first started wanting a 1er I was loading it up like my CPO'd ZHP, EVERY OPTION. Now I'm down to Sport/heated seats/Comfort Access/iPod/Bluetooth. I just cant seem to cut those options out, if I did, I would miss and/or want to install them on my own. Might as well have BMW do it... Reguardless......... CONGRATS!

I had all the intentions of ordering a stripper AW 135 until my wife got involved...doh
Well I just got the car and the options are great but I know I could have been happy with just the sport package. The steering wheel and the shifter knob are sweet. Congrats on your new order. Brian
