RIP Alex.

Always admired his composure and respect for intellect and academia, rare for a television personality.

You get the feeling that he genuinely had a passion for Jeopardy!, the trivial knowledge and facts, and interacting with the many players that he got to know on and off stage...which explains why he insisted on continuing to host it even after revealing his late stage diagnosis.

An icon, he will be missed.

What a terrible loss. We still all watch the show when all of my siblings are at my parent's home.

RIP, good sir.

Was a ritual to watch after dinner when visiting my father.

I don't know if the show can be the same without him.

He was great. And the show won’t be the same, but I say give Ken Jennings a shot. He’s the all time winner, and appears to have always respected both the show and Alex. He might be a worthy successor.

I'm rather gutted to hear of this today.
From what I've read, the cancer he had is particularly aggressive and it's remarkable that he fought on for as long as he did.

Like so many people, I have fond memories of watching the show with now gone family members...

There's a meme about Sean welcoming him into heaven, I just can't find it right now.

RIP. The pain is now gone.

I could make a snarky remark about getting off my lawn but out of respect for Mr. Trebek, I'll defer....

Perhaps generational, but it is hard to imagine Jeopardy w/o him. RIP

First Connery, now Trebek. Hang in their Clint!
