The houses that were in the front row. What happens now? They cant rebuild right so does the insurance company cut them a check and they just move somewhere else?

Maybe folks in Texas can talk to folks in Mississippi to find out how to deal with the aftermath and rebuild/or not rebuild.

In that case it's not sure what people that have lost their land due to the new coastline will do. Just more lawsuits and legal problems ahead for all. I'd assume that the house that are "within" this area now will probably be allowed to stay. But I'm not sure. Like the one lone house on Bolivar might look salvagable, but might not be due to extensive slab damage and the change in soil consisitency. Quote:
I understand everyone wanting to get in, but everyone needs to have patience. Unfortunately, no one in the world knew about the damage in MS and AL. They were destroyed completely, but all eyes were on NO. They didn't bitch, just rebuilt and carried on. We already have. We're helping neighbors, Frank Billingsly is up the chopter looking at properties for people. The majority of us, besides not having power are continuing on. |

Cost line barely changed at all in those pics....
Regardless of that if they really wanted to they would just dredge and rebuild the cost. Pretty common practice in Florida, only thing that keeps some places from eroding completely.

I got ya. I think that's working out okay. Other than stress of dealing with all the out stop lights, and massive massive traffic jams.
