New 2014 M5 - Sakhir Orange
Just purchased this 2014 M5 with 28k miles last week.
I plan on modding the car. Exhaust, tune, exterior, lowering. Right now the front ride height bothers me the most. I Plan on lowering/suspension first. The front tires seem to have excessive wear on the outside tread. Just eyeballing it looks like it has some positive camber. Seems like they all sit like this stock? Hopefully lowering a bit will help add some negative camber back. Any tips on getting these cars to sit right and ride correctly? Any recommendations on Bmw/alignment shops in the dallas/fort worth area? I just moved to the area so Im looking for someplace that does things the right way. You can put on Comp front springs (1 cm lower) to retain comfort and replace the front tyres with Pilot Sport 4's for an instant improvement.Car was probably tracked with the shaved outers.

Congratz and welcome! as for lowering it. I'd recommend getting H&R Springs and if you want alittle bit more flexibility, go with Dinan adjustable springs (that's that I have. Quite a few owners on here have H&R and the drop is just perfect. Add some spacers and you'll be set for that department.

Congrats on the new car!
Look up RK Autowerks in Dallas for any engine/power mods. Lowering the front of the car with springs will change the ride height but probably won't help your alignment. I suggest doing your ride height mods, buy new tires (I also highly recommend PS4S's all around) and then take the car for an alignment. |

Congrats on the gorgeous M5! I'm personally lowered on KW V4 and I love the setup. It rides amazing.... much better then stock if you adjust it just right. You can get lower then any of the spring/ sleeve kits... I'd highly recommend!

Kw v4 is a bit more than I would want to spend. KW HAS or the dinan is probably all I need.
I did some more reading around here. You guys sold me on the Pilot Sport 4'S. Looking at the RW carbon diffuser now too. |

That's the one I have (also the front lip). It's pretty good. You do have to take the rear bumper off to install it as the tabs on the diffuser don't fit perfect.

Yeah im not paying 2k for a CF diffuser. I think that RW one has great value at its price point and it looks pretty good.
Im torn on the trunk spoiler though. The m4 style one from them seems nice but I wish they had more angles on the pictures. |
