WTB - Stock springs from MT car
Hello, I am looking for a set of original non competition package springs from a f80/82 with a manual transmission. Found several from a dct but noting from a manual. The front springs will be labeled "MA". Pm me if you have some you want to part with. Thank you! |

I don't remember where I read it on here, but it was my understanding that the 2 factors that determine which springs are meant for the car are the transmission and roof type due to the weight differences of each. At least for the base model. I have no idea if the comp package springs also have this variance.

There are different spring lengths based on the options the car came with but the spring rate will be the same for all the base cars or all the comp package cars. Here is a breakdown from thread on the F30 forum with the BMW letter codes to know which spring is which.
Front springs: F80/82 Manual: MA F80/82 DCT: MB F80/82 ZCP Manual: MP F80/82 ZCP DCT: MQ F83 Manual: MG F83 DCT: MH F83 ZCP Manual: MV F83 ZCP DCT: MW Rear springs: F80/82 Plain Roof: MC F80/82 Sunroof: MD F80/82 ZCP Plain Roof: MR F80/82 ZCP Sunroof: MS F83: MI F83 ZCP: MX |
