CarPlay google maps

Does anyone how to update CarPlay to add google maps? I see that it's already supported in other cars.

You only need to update your phone to IOS 12, and it should come right up!

Yes update your phone should do the trick. Nothing to do in the BMW at all. It should recognize the google maps and waze.

also make sure your google maps and waze are updated as well to the newest versions.

Before iOS 12, I would say CarPlay is useless since Apple Maps sucks, but now I'm jelly.

Not likely since I have iDrive 4.
