Sorry to seem really dense, but do you mean, "has anyone converted a convertible to a hardtop," or do you mean, "has any former owner of a convertible replaced it with a coupe?" I've never heard of a hardtop option for this car in the convertible form, which is of course not to say that it might not exist, perhaps in the aftermarket or custom market.

I'd be a little more interested in a hatch conversion (those things are cooool). I'll just wait another 13 years until I can import one...

Same, I would have definitely gone for the hatch if available. My previous car was a GTI and I loved the utility of that car. I used to tow my track bike and put all my track crap in the car, then fold down the seats and sleep in the back of the car at the track. Saved a ton on hotel costs that way. The coupe looks way better, but hard to beat a hatch for usability.

I've rented the 118i wagonish car in Turbo Diesel in Portugal and Spain a few times. Great cars.

It takes the weirdness factor of the E8x 1-Series to a level beyond the coupes and verts that we got.

@elitesales305 I think you mean sold a vert to buy a coupe. I'm sure someone has.
