Opinions on what price to sell the M

So I am thinking of selling my M, since I don't drive it much and I am looking to just keep one car between the wife and I. Wanted to get opinions on what price you think is reasonable for the sale. I look around on car sites and prices for a car similar to mine ranges a lot. Some people think they have magical unicorns I guess.

So the car I have is:

2011 M3 E90 competition
Alpine white with black leather interior
42,000 miles
Manual
All options I think except heated seats and the headlight washers

I purchased this car 2 years ago from a forum member out in Texas.

I have the car serviced and maintained @ a place called motercepts in Queens, NY

I change oil every 3-3.5K miles or 6 months, which ever comes first.

Everything that is required to change due to maintenance is done. When purchased about 4,200 miles ago, I had all fluids changed.

I drive it mostly on the weekends and never in snow. occasionally get caught in rain. Winter is practically hibernation time. So it sleeps warm.

I also ran two oil test from the blackstone people since purchase and received A's all across.

Car drives like a cheetah and sounds like a lion.

Outside condition I would rate 8.5 out 10 - some little nicks on front bumper due to road rash and a very little one in the back due to some As%$@ in a parking lot. ( thinking of getting them re-sprayed and maybe a OEM front euro put on)

Interior - 8.5 out of 10 - back seats like showroom, front seat very, very little wear. I keep them clean and conditioned. No rips on roof or dash. The ring around the start stop button has started to chip off, but I was going to replace it.

Rims where just refinished last October at a very reputable place in Westchester, NY called proformance industries.

Rubbers replaced about 500 miles ago with Michelin PS4's - love them.

Only Mods done are cosmetic - I replaced the wheel with a OEM flat bottom suede with the blue stripe and I fitted a ZHP type knob which feels great compared to the walking stick it comes with. also I have the painted covers on the ugly reflectors on the front bumper. Besides that everything is bone stock. I also have the original wheel and reflectors.

So I was thinking $35-$37K, what are your thoughts? could I possibly fetch a little more or less? again this is a feeler, since every time I think about doing it, I get a beautiful day alone driving it and just want to keep it. No where near as fast as the new M's or other manufactures of the dame level but something about it puts a smile on it. That V8 is a musical symphony.

Thanks for the feed back guys

If you want it to sit around then ask $37k. If you want to sell it then go $35k ish and you might be ok. 8.5 out of 10 is ok but that is not top of the food chain condition, which I think $37k would be. Slick top or sunroof? I am aware of a recent purchase of a near identical vehicle with a few more miles that sold for $35k. But this car was closer to a 10 out of 10, slick top and came with a $5k exhaust and some other mods with all oem items supplied. But that car was a steal as the seller was inundated with PM's the moment it hit the market. Have you thought of asking EAG what they would give you? This is the spec that they seek out. Or did they see this thread and contact you already lol.

Has a sunroof. If I got the bumpers repainted at a very good place than I would call the car exterior a 9 out of 10. Thanks for the feed back, 37 is not bad.

Sounds like a clean example. I would hold for right buyer at least $37k. Anyone buying these cars now will be making out 5 years from now.

- I'd say $40,000.00 at a sales point and $35,000 a quick sale if you need the money asap

- Remeber the Last E90 was in 2011 since production stopped early.

- 6 Speed is rarer than a DCT transmission

Thanks! not in a hurry to sell. every time I think of selling, I happen to go for a ride in it and fall in love with it again. Very hard to let go. One day, maybe for a Alfa gulia quadrifoglio. but the price needs to come down on them first.
