what does it do? give you a wireless connection using the factory usb and headphone jack?

Yes, all while keeping the steering wheel change track buttons functioning and track info and name still show up on the idrive screen. Your phone will automatically pair with it when you turn on the car so the last song playing will automatically start up again.
