Inspection w tints in NY, anyone go recently? Any luck?

Have inspection coming up, is this rule really being followed? Anyone have any luck passing w them?

Interested in this. I'd love to get some light 50% but don't want to flush $400 if you can't pass

Yes it's being enforced by most shops and of course dealerships but you can still find some places that will pass for an extra fee. I'm sure someone here will eventually chime in with a shop they worked with.

I decided to remove not because inspection but wanted to be without tints since I got tired of 20% all around. My inspection due date just happened to coincide.
