Bootmod3 Data Log
Need someone with a little more tuning knowledge than me to see what they think. This is with a BM3 H Stage 2 e30 map they are currently developing. The car has a BMS intake and catless downpipes. I was running about 5 gallons of e85 and the rest 93.

Do you think there is any more room for more timing while still being safe?

Depends what you mean by safe, couple dyno pulls or street miles for life of the car.
Searched google some people have hit over 550whp under 600whp but all dynos different and I'd personally stay conservative and not risk blowing an expensive motor. The guys with the fastest M4 blew a motor and whole lot of other stuff trying to get the most. Even if tuned correctly and any other parts in the motor can blow for any reason with boost super high trying to reach the highest whp. http://www.***********.com/showthrea...-M3-and-F82-M4 http://www.***********.com/content.p...BMS-JB4-tuning http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=44185 Good luck, you will be able to do numerous dynos and 1/4 miles but 10, 20, 30k miles probably not!

I have the same E30 map. I think your running too much E85. We have a 15.9 gallon tank. It only takes 3.75 of E85 and the rest 93 octane to get a E30 blend.
Also your peak boost is at 24-26psi whereas target boost is set at 22psi. It carries >22psi to redline but should temper off the higher the rpm’s go. Timing is ok but can be a little higher. As rpm’s increase so should timing. Don’t see any knock which is good. Are you running colder plugs? |

Yeah it?s the H e30 which is suppose to push more boost. It doesn?t seem as fast as it should be. It should pull away from a 93 stage 2 tune.

From my experience 25-26psi is too much for stock turbos especially after 6k rpm. Like Cary said HSTG2 is really for aftermarket turbos.

Most of the gains with the H map when used with stock turbos come in midrange as the turbos won't flow very efficiently all the way to redline at 25-26psi. Some push 30+ psi on those poor things with a peaky power band with max power hitting at 5k rpm Everyone's different and many want to do things differently with their own car. H map really is most suited to upgraded turbos where efficiency isn't lacking at these boost levels and power can hold all the way without dropoff.
On stock turbos, Stage 2 vs H Stage 2, I'd say shift early on the H map to take advantage of the midrange gains but overall you won't have a night and day difference on the road from one car to the next and it becomes a driver's race. You also need all the traction as 3rd gear on a roll will spin more with the H map due to higher torque than the regular Stage 2. |

Well Put PTF
sometimes it's not worth generating all that heat with poor stock snails. less is more sometimes stage 2 map is a perfect balance of enough boost on the stock turbos. you get to a point where you no make no more power and just extra torque and working them super hard. poor snails at 26 psi on top end blowing Steam hahahah!!!
