Gintani Crank Hub

Has anyone seen this from Gintani...A little different than PSI

Our complete one piece crank hub solution is almost ready. Special tooling and hours of design and engineering has gone into this part. This is not a multi piece part that has weak points this will hopefully be the end of the evil spun crank hub issues. #gintani #gintanibuilt #madeinhouse #madeinusa #bmw #bimmer #m #m4 #m3 #f80 #f82 #gootboost #nomorehubspin #designed #engineered #builtbygintani

Its been almost ready for 18 months.

Let's see one with the chain around it. I would like to know if they altered the tooth profile or not.

Also what modifications to the chain guard are necessary to install this?

If it fits without causing premature wear on the chain, it will be good. It looks good.

To stop the crank hub spinning. Yeah, it probably won't be cheap, but something to prevent this issue won't be cheap

....Can you link/show the timelines on the last 5 spun crank hubs we are aware of on this forum?

You'd be surprised at what some people are willing to pay for piece of mind.

If it's not a concern of yours why check in on this and every other thread concerning possible crank hub solutions?

Don't mind me. I'm over here like -_-

I have spun twice this year. One engine lost and one slip that caused timing to jump 45 degrees and caused exhaust vanos failure. The issues is real if you are pushing the platform.

What mods did you have on your car in those two instances? Assuming you we're modded from your comment.

And were you driving the car in a particularly aggressive manner (such as redlining, or pressed the kickdown etc) when the incident happened or just cruising?

Because I want to keep track if the issue is real and if it's likely to impact me. And I want to keep the conversation as data-driven as possible, as internet forums MAY have a tiny history of thinking the sky is falling when it comes to a few automotive failure stories.

So far it appears to be very uncommon but real on tuned S55s only - which is odd, quite frankly, but there it is.
