issues with shifting into 3rd gear (6MT)

Hi Guys,

I have a 2017 m3 (6mT) with 10k miles so far and I've had about 10-15 issues shifting into 3rd gear (grinding, blocked shifts). Issues happen randomly, car could be cold, warm or I could be driving relaxed or aggressive. All other gears are fine.

Wondering if anyone has had similar experiences.

Is it here the DCT guys are supposed to throw rocks at the 6MT, or is that just a one-way thing...?

Is car stock? IF so take it to the dealership

at what RPM? under what load? I have issues with 1st to 2nd that are exactly as you describe them but only with super fast shifts from 1st to 2nd at the redline.

Car is stock.. can't really take the car to the dealer since you can't reproduce the issue easily.

I guess I'll have to wait again for it to happen to give exact details...

I have the same issue in my '15 F82 w/ 22k miles in 3rd gear (only). The grind is horrific in mine.

so stop banging into third gear at redline so often and you wont destroy your synchros like OP did. take it easy with the shifting...
