Bootmod3 problems

I've had the bootmod3 stage 2 93 octane tune for the las 3,000 miles and it's been running great. I decided to try out e85 and loaded up the HSTG2 E40 map and the car runs like complete crap! The car sputters and hesitates at anything over 50% throttle. No engine codes but it it running terrible. On one of the pulls the car just started sputtering and hit a wall at 6500rpm and just kept bouncing around at that rpm, not accelerating. No matter what gear the car sputters at wot. Any ideas what could be the problem?

That's what I thought because I added 6 gallons of e85 that tested at 80% ethanol to top of my tank of 93. Car ran like crap so I added 2 more gallons of e85 once the tank was at about 3/4 like an idiot. Car ran even worse after that so I have since added about 7 gallons of 93 to dilute the mixture and the car still runs terrible.

Iirc ethanol is heavier than gasoline, so you may still be getting a more e85 rich mixture. I'd say switch back to the 93 file and drive conservative until you can fill back up with 93. If you did any damage you probably wouldn't have a running car right now, so at least there's that, lol.

I did switch back to the 93 file and it did the same thing will any throttle input over 50%. You think I should run the tank empty and then refill with a less concentrated e85 mixture and try the e40 map again? Yeah thank god! It seems to run fine just driving around.

If it were my car I'd run ir dry and fill it up with the 93 on the 93 file to make sure nothing else is wrong. Then once you're down a few gallons try out an e30 mix.

Yeah I'm gonna give that a shot. I figured since it's an e40 tune I should put in that mixture but is it safe to run that map on just an e30 mix?

Do some logs so we can see what's going on. You can also open support ticket and post log for review.

Yeah I opened a support ticket yesterday afternoon and haven't received a response yet. I did a couple of logs. How do I post them here?

Makes no sense you would add more ethanol? If you had an issue you should've gone a little the other way and added a little more 93.

Yeah I know now. I was saw someone on the forum running bm3 e85 maps and they said they were running e60 so I thought my mix might have been to low. Now I know.

Do you run the e85 at the sunoco on gaines? Cause either their gas is bad or my mix is way off. What did you gap your plugs to? I miss the camaro kinda but I had to get a more subtle car for a few reasons. I'm gonna try and get a C7 Z06 soon, just gotta see if my insurance will cover me on it first lol
