Burble Tune

Thoughts on it? Thinking about getting it. If you've gotten it:

How much did you pay?
Was it worth it?

Thanks a lot!

Got Hex features installed a couple weeks ago. The burbles sound amazing through my Remus on my vert but I am most impressed with cold start sound. I get many compliments from drivers. Glad I finally did it. I updated to Hex stage1 from my Dinan stage3. No comparison much more fun in every way.

You will see a lot more since JB4 lost or gave up the ability to control CEL codes. I myself have given up the DP AND JB4 combo. This will also hurt the aftermarket of allllllll downpipes.

don't understand what the big deal is?

Does absolutely zero for performance

To some it's a more enjoyable driver's experience. It just adds to the fun

nothing like cruising down a busy street and all your hear is the rumble of a sexy M4 passing by......
Albeit it does seem like a 6 cylinder trying hard to be an 8......

For all future references - a flash tune is required to either enable or disable the burbles. Currently the two big players on these forums are VF's Hex Tune, and bootmod3. There are other companies and tuners out there.

I went with bootmod3, as the tune will happily do either in terms of enabling or disabling the burbles. My zcp M3 came with burbles and I loved it. It added character to an otherwise less exciting sound provided by a 6 cylinder engine powered by two sound muffling turbos.

There are two burbles found on the bootmod3 tune - aggressive gunshot and standard. The standard is a bit different from ZCP but still sounds good. I have never heard the aggressive burbles in person but I might soon with an E30 map just for fun.

getting a tune for the burble? not worth it no.

A tune offers so much more than just burble ... If you are going after power and adding the burble as a feature then yes it is worth it

We sell a LOT of HEX Tuning "Features ONLY" and "ZCP Level" ECU Software.
Not all customers feel the need to jump straight into our Stage ONE or Stage TWO
level software as they are perfectly satisfied with the OEM power levels, but instead
just want to add some more unique personality to the car they are already quite
satisfied with.

Additionally, we have a large number of requests for the "Features Only" software
from customers who have already committed to a piggyback and simply want to add
the Start Up Roar / Throttle Overrun (burble) / Turbo & Wastegate Acoustics
and/or remove the Top Speed Limiter.
