VTT F8X 60-130 record 5.9 Sec

-Still catching up---

To back up our dyno numbers (734 whp stock motor) we asked the customer if we could take the car out for some 60-130 Vbox testing. He said no problem. Tony took the car out to his favorite private test track on his way in to VTT early one morning, and it quickly laid down the new record in only 3 tries!

That was good enough for us, and Tony went on his way. Tony feels the car probably has a 5.7 or so in it if we played around with shift points or found a road more level (or with a down slope), but we will let the customer do some any more testing if he wants to. We just wanted to show this car is more than just dyno numbers, so we backed it up with some real world testing!

S55 guys have a lot to look forward to from VTT, our cast S55 GC's are well into development, and should be available Q4 2017, or Q1 2018! Big power, excellent spool, low lag, reasonable price... they're going to shake things up, just how we like it.

that's proper Quick and it uphill
Chris care to ask the customer if he can run it past vbox tools and get the verified 100-200 km/h

I am sure it's 5-5.2 seconds

Sorry for getting lost in all the acronyms. What is your cast S55 GC's? Are we talking about finally a custom exhaust manifold to bolt on a larger frame turbo!? Thx.

Higher flowing manifold with a larger turbo. Yep. GC is "Game Changer", from our N54 line. Same idea but S55 specific.

Some exciting news. I was planning upgrading turbos but now with these news I can wait. Few questions, maybe it's too immature yet but where do you plan to place the price point around? How long will it take you to launch them? Finally, do you think they would make a big difference with shitty 91 octane pump gas?

We have a while... Q4 2017, Q1 2018 but we might be able to beat that. Best thing you can do for 91 octane is add methanol.

What else besides the turbos does the car have to make that power? What tune are you using!

Your inclination is correct, it's not impossible whatsoever, in fact it's likely it's close to a 5 flat 100-200kph. For example, another very fast 60-130MPH was Fuel-it's Pure Turbo M4, it did 60-130 in 6.2, that same run it did 5.3 100-200kph, so it's easy to deduce from that what the Vargas 100-200kph might be.

Sorry guys -got some bad news with a little bit of good news. The bad news is... I don't have the data. We did the screenshot and moved on. The good news is, Tony remembers the run. The number was 5.1xx. Now... this isn't official, because I don't have the data any more, it's just memory, blah blah blah. Sorry guys. Next time we have a chance to run the car we'll get both sets of data (although that won't be for a while -lots going on at VTT).

Excellent time on stock turbo F80Paul!

Busy tuning mine but want to keep it simple..
looking at getting it under 7 seconds 100-200 on pump..

It's on track -slow and steady progress. Still looking like very late Q4 2017 or more likely Q1 2018.
