Radio / Media Volume Issue?

So I recently purchased a 2014 X5 and love it so far. Something odd happened today and wanted to see if anyone experienced this.

Ever since I owned the car, I would turn the radio volume maybe 5 clicks / ~10% of the way on the visual volume bar and the music volume would be at a comfortable level. I went to go play with the equalizer today and all of a sudden the volume got really low.

Now, I have to turn the volume up where the visual volume bar is filled 50% of the way to get the same volume as before. Reason for concern?

Thanks in Advance!

The previous owner probably had the EQ levels jacked all the way up

are you using Bluetooth? if so turn your volume up on the device first.

This. Also note that different sources will have different volume levels. In my car, volume levels at about 10%-15% of the bar are fine on satellite and radio signal sources but Bluetooth streaming requires ~50% of the bar to be listenable at highway speeds even with the volume turned all the way up on my phone.

Thanks for the responses guys.

I'm playing Spotify via the USB connection. I'll check to see if there is a volume setting on the app when it's plugged into the USB.

2 things I wish were on every car audio sound system (they were on my 05 Touareg but also not on my 2015) but they dont seem to do is EQ program for each source amd level control for each source. I hate getting blasted when going from my CD collection in the Media storage and then to XM audio which is almost twice as loud. seems to me this would be easy tomimplement on a digital sound system.
