Who's running Eibach Pro Kit lowering springs?

If you are, can you fit 235's up front?

I'm running Eibachs with 18x8.5 VMR 810's in front (ET45) and I don't know if I can get away with 235's or not; am thinking of playing safe with 225's...

Any success or fail stories?

I am running an eibach pro kit on 18's also. My front set up 225/40/18 for the tires up front. I'm running 255/35/18 in the rear. So far it looks good and doesn't rub.

Not 100% with the 235's, but having the kit you also know the drop in the front is pretty low so it might be tight.

I have a Bilstein B12 kit (includes eibach pro kit springs), but I also have dinan camber plates which gives me about 1/4" extra height, not to mention extra negative camber. I'm running 225/40/18 on OE 18" wheels with a 12mm spacer at the front so that means it's like an 18x7.5" wheel with ET35. Never had any issues. I think a 235 would work but it would be close. Use the wheel size calculator and compare back and forth to see, something like this: http://www.willtheyfit.com/

Hmm, it's not looking good for the 235's I think...

Are you running stock control arms?? I'm running a TC Kline setup but have camber plates and the M3/1M control arms and it gives me the clearance I need with a 235/40 and also a 255/35 (Both 18x8.5)

You may wind up needing either the camber plates or the control arms or both.

Eibachs with 235s

I am running Apex ARC-8s in front with 235s on a set of Eibach Pro-kits. I had a set of Comp 2 A/Ss and they did rub very occasionally. I did remove camber pin from strut mount to allow some negative camber. I only rubbed a bit occasionally ie: in/out of driveways with a passenger

I have now switched to 235 Firehawk Indy 500s and they are more of a rounded corner profile as compared to being very square with previous tires. No rubbing at all now.

Removing camber pin will help by allowing you to bring the tops of the tires in. M3 lower control arms will add another .75 deg of neg camber if you wanted.

You can see the rounded edge in this pic. Excuse the dirt.

GoodMoodley, how wide are those rims and what's the offset? Any side-on pics of the wheel to see the clearance?

My camber pins are long gone and I'm running the M3 control arms and tension rods up front, but no camber plates...

Was thinking of Conti Extremecontact Sports as the next set of shoes. Have the DW's now and like them a lot...

Thanks for the input guys...

It is 18x8.5 ET45. I don't have side pic with new tire but I do with the old tire.

I'll be throwing in the Eibach Pro-Kit springs tomorrow (currently rolling on 17" steelies for winter). Summer shoes are 225/255 MPSS on 261M's. I have a set of 12mm spacers that I'm going to test once she's lowered. I'm thinking it will rub with some trimming / fender rolling. Thoughts?

I'd recommend adding the dinan camber plates while you are doing the job. I cant comment on running 235's on the front, but my track setup is 245/40/17' squared using the H&R sports and dinan camber plates with stock control arms. No rubbing what so ever even on track. So I would imagine 235's would be no problem.
