Do 5 Series wheels fit our cars?
Hi all
sorry for the newbie question just picked up a 128i last week and having trouble with wheel fitment found a set of style 124 wheels locally that i'm interested in picking up here are the specs Brand: Factory OEM Material: Aluminum Front Wheel Size: 18" x 8" Rear Wheel Size: 18" x 9" Front Offset: 43mm Rear Offset: 55mm Lugs: 5 Bolt Pattern: 120mm BMW Style: 124 Finish: Silver my question is will these fit our car?? in the past e60 m5 wheels wouldn't fit my e46 m3 wheels due to hub or something....does that apply to our cars? also for running square what size 17's or 18's would be ideal to run so that they could be rotated? i have performance suspension and performance bbk if that makes a difference. thanks for any advice in advance |

There is a thread on what's been done & what fits. Helps to search... just sayn.
FYI - you didn't include the hub bore size on those wheels. They need to be 72.56 same as 1er wheels. A quick google search founds this thread. Looks like they will fit. Btw they are heavier than the stock rims. Probably b/c they are made for the 3800 lb e60 545/550. http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=217115 Also If you go to 1010tires.com you can compare fitments. Put in what you have stock & what you are considering and it tells you the difference. http://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Wheel-Offset-Calculator 8x18 et 43 = inner clearance is same as stock 135i & outer rim extends an extra 12mm wider. That should fit b/c apex/VMR size 8.5 et 45 fits and it's 9mm less inner clearance & extends 17mm wider. 9x18 et55 = 9mm less inner clearance & extends 3mm wider. Should fit since apex 9.5x18 et58 fits and is actually 19mm less inner clearance & 7mm wider. VMR 710s are 9.5x18 et50 and fit as well.

I've no idea if they'd fit a bbk. You certainly could run 8" both F&R but you might be limited on tire width.
