Do not see option "Satellite Radio"

after pressing the iDrive RADIO button on my console I do not see "Satellite Radio" option. I have PP. I just received 3 months free offer from SiriusXM Radio and want to activate ...
What is the problem ?

Getting free 3 months from Sat is great! Everyone get those letters with this offer. However, it will do nothing ones you do not have Sat in idrive. Did you actually pay to the dealer when you purchased the car to get Sat radio? It does not come standard. You have to options, either purchase activation from the dealer ( no hardware needed since car has everything in it already) for $$$, or use
http://www.bimmer-tech.net/shop/bmw-...radio-retrofit or similar online vendor to "retrofit" for the halve the price.

Is this a new vehicle or did they change their terms? I always got 1 year free. The menu option was present in idrive, but sometimes had to activate online and hit refresh from the vehicle when I had a clear view of the sky without building or tree in the way.

I just wrapped up my free trial. Now they keep calling asking if I'd like to sign up. Quite annoying...

In 2013-2015, I used it more. I like the local stations better than satellite now. Plus, I mostly switch out external drives with flac audio. I am not sure I will renew.

This has been discussed before, but you can easily get a 6month/$30 deal to renew. Just ask/push for it. It was even open to new customers recently (via the preview channel) so should be no problem for you. Makes it a no brainer that way.

Check your build, is Sat radio listed?

if SAT radio isn't enabled, I believe there's a company on the boards that does it for <$150 vs $400+ from BMW.

As do I. There's certain "shows" I listen to, like Jason Ellis on Faction. But its just nice to have an option over my primary choice, which is Spotify.

When your XM/Sirius free trial is up simply call them and tell them you got a flyer in the mail with a 6 months for $30 offer. I've done that the past 5-6 times (3 years) and it always works. Just make sure to set a calendar reminder to call and cancel the service 48 hrs before it renews otherwise they auto-bill you full price. Then call up a day after your service disconnects to renew again.

Your welcome!
